Lauryna Bendziunaite (b. 18 February 1981) in 2008 graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (MA, prof. R. Maciūtė,). At present, the soloist studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London (prof. J. Mammen). Her first accomplishment in solo singing was a possibility to perform in Tchaikovskys Eugene Onegin, gained in 2002, in the contest in Aix-en-Provence. In 2003, Bendžiūnaitė won a first prize in the international XXI Century Art contest Kijev-Vorzel; in 2006, she became a graduate of B. Grinevičiūtė chamber singing contest (the best performance of the works of a Lithuanian composer and Mozart); in 2006, she received the second prize in the Jonuškaitės-Zaunienė contest. Bendžiūnaitė participated in the international opera singing courses in in OperOderSpree (prof. Jutta Schlegel); in 2006, appeared in the festivals OperOderSpree, VOX Acedemia; in 2007, participated in T.Mann festival in Nida, Lithuania. Bendžiūnaitė has created plenty of opera roles, among which Serpina, Tangolita, Mari, First Lady and Nerina. She also sang soprano roles in Mozarts Kronungs Messe, Bachs cantata Komm Jesu Komm and Parkers opera Myth in Conceptual Meaning. St. Georges Tales. Bendžiūnaitė sung with National Philharmonics chamber orchestra Musica Humana, Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy, Lithuanian State and Brandenburgische Staats symphony orchestras, under A.Vizgirda, R.Servenikas, G.Rinkevičius, M. Kutson, T. D. Pinnock. Together with the bohemians Bendžiūnaitė created a role in Puccinis W. A. Mozarts Die Zauberflöte (2006).
