Juozas Domarkas has formed a really professional orchestra in Lithuania, and has performed with this orchestra basically all symphonic music produced in this country, which does not necessarly happen in many countries...

Osvaldas Balakauskas, 1997

Thanks to the oratorical art of Juozas Domarkas, the music by Algirdas Martinaitis sounded like elocution... The forte of the brass instruments allowed us to feel that in the performance of this orchestra the intonations of the human voice can always be heard.

Yoshio Maiya, Asahi, 1995

The orchestra played with immense energy... Juozas Domarkas led the orchestra sensibly to an impressive climax - the First Symphony by Sergei Rachmaninoff...

The Birmingham Post, 1994

His gestures are expressive, firm and precise. Juozas Domarkas' emotional zest makes an effect on both the orchestra and the audience.
